Verpan VP Globe Suspension Light
£1,500.00 £1,560.00
The Verpan VP Globe is a bubble-shaped suspension or pendant lamp designed in 1969 by Verner Panton, the most influential Danish designer of the last century. Significant not just for its stunning good looks – though no-one could deny its eye-catching appeal – The VP Globe is also a remarkable technical achievement.
Encased in a wipe-clean transparent acrylic sphere and suspended from lengths of fine chain, this remarkable lamp contains five concave aluminium reflectors - finished in white, blue and orange – which suck every scintilla of light from the shielded bulb and sling it into the shadiest corner of your room.
Bright and beautiful, it is particularly valuable in the kitchen – or any room where a light for working is needed.
It comes with a chrome ceiling canopy and hangs from up to four metres of black fabric cord. Every unit is engraved with Verner Panton’s signature.
This lamp is available in two sizes:
The 40 cm diameter, requiring one E27 (E26) max 60 W bulb (not supplied).
The 50 cm diameter, requiring one E27 (E26) max 75 W bulb (not supplied).
